Downingtown East Wrestling achieved full recovery this weekend after a tough mid-week. The Cougars claimed five efficient wins on their way to a 3rd consecutive championship at Neshaminy’s “Redskin Duals.” They defeated Bensalem 60-6, Twin Valley 70-3, Martin L. King 80-0, Archbishop Carrol 70-10, and Archbishop Ryan 80-0. Brett Horne (106), James Strommer (113), Wade Cummings (126), Austin Lillis (145), Dalton Burt (152), James Meyer (160), Alec Horne (170), Brent Czajkowski (182), and Billy McGinley (220) all went a perfect 5-0 on the day. In the JV competition, Shea Milligan (126), Connor Birzes (120), and Josh Wileczek (195) all collected championships. Congratulations to the Cougars for displaying an impressive rebound and using the opportunity to sharpen their skills for a big week ahead!
